BUYING BONDS
We are delighted that you want to invest in Eureka! Amsterdam together with us. To make it easy, we have put together a few packages. If you would like a different amount, you can combine multiple packages. Additionally, you choose how long you wish to lend the money. This also determines how much interest you receive.
We pay out the interest annually in January, for the first time one year after the completion of construction. At that time, you will also receive the interest for all previous years.
Did you buy the bond after January 1, 2022? Then the right to interest begins on the first day of the next quarter. You will also be included in the register of bondholders. During the (construction) process, we regularly invite all bondholders to pleasant and informative meetings.
By buying a bond, you become part of a community that is taking the city back from the real estate market!
Would you like to gift a bond? Then do the following: You buy a bond. You provide the name, email address, and bank account number of the beneficiary. The beneficiary will then be included in the official bond register. Afterwards, the beneficiary will receive a confirmation from Eureka! with the corresponding bond numbers. You can download a gift card including an explanation here, which allows you to make it clear to the recipient that he/she is receiving the bond as a gift from you.

WHY BONDS
Our housing cooperative is going to realize 100 homes and remains the owner of the entire building. The members of Eureka! become the future tenants, and together we manage the cooperative.
To make this possible, we need money. Our business plan is based on a total amount of 28 million euros. In addition to our own contribution, a bank loan, a loan from the Municipality of Amsterdam, and contributions from various funds, we also want to ask our network to help. We are doing this by issuing bonds. Our goal is to raise 2.2 million euros through bonds and donations.
WHAT IS A BOND
A bond is a loan that we repay later. The interest you receive each year depends on the term of the bond. We repay the interest and the borrowed amount using rental income, just like with the other loans. Each bond has a value of €250, and you can buy as many as you like. The bond campaign started on October 13, 2024.
